The company was relying on a legacy product for claims that had productivity inefficiencies and redundancies, manual work-arounds and lacked controls.
The Company was looking for a claim system to:
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of adjudication, medical management, and payments
- Improve overall claims servicing and facilitate return to work more effectively
- Integrate with existing Policy Administration and Financial systems
- Leverage rules-based workflows for pre-eligibility, eligibility and payment calculations
- Improve worker productivity and prioritization.

QBC adopted an incremental implementation strategy and deployed ClaimVantage with four lines of business over 10 months. The company streamlined their claim management process and automated their eligibility process. They also integrated with their policy, financial, and check printing systems. QBC was able to significantly improve worker productivity and processes more than 200 claims and 300 payments per day with fewer resources.
Today there are over 50 users on the system and this will increase to over 80 in early 2011.
